Frost Cats Coordinator & Coach

Erik Remsen grew up alpine skiing. He had a one year race career, but mostly lapped the bump runs and explored the woods. He played soccer at Bates College, and very briefly for Lyngby FC in Denmark, but started cross country skiing after college. He spent several winters working at the Smugglers Notch Nordic Center. After relocating to Addison County, he spent four years as a nordic skiing assistant coach at Rutland High School. Since 2019, he has been a Frost Cats coach, and for the past two winters has served as Frost Cats coordinator. He loves the enthusiasm, fearlessness, and silliness of the Frost Cats age group.    

Wildcats/ Bobcats Coordinator & Coach

Britta grew up skiing and running in the woods of Vermont. She spent some time in Minnesota exploring the 10,000 lakes while skiing and running for Gustavus Adolphus College (and earning a degree too). Britta has been coaching with Frost Mountain Nordic since 2016, sharing her passion for Nordic skiing with the next generation. She is committed to introducing kids to Nordic skiing as a lifelong sport and supporting them in growing their love for skiing in a sustainable way while experiencing success and most importantly, FUN!

Wildcats Coach

Josh is a sophomore at Middlebury College who grew up skiing in Northern Michigan. Josh has been skiing ever since he was two years old and is excited to pass on the joy of skiing to younger generations. Throughout high school, Josh loved racing and training hard as well as building jumps and going on adventure skis. He loves skiing at Rikert and the Snowbowl, as well as running and cycling around campus and in the Green Mountains. Josh is an Environmental Studies and Earth and Climate Science major which suits him well in his love of spending time outside in the beautiful Vermont.
